Product Description

Bleomycin sulfate is a chemotherapy drug, a type of antineoplastic antibiotic, that inhibits or slows the growth of cancer cells by damaging their DNA. It’s a mixture of related glycopeptide antibiotics, primarily bleomycin A2 and B2, isolated from Streptomyces verticillus. Bleomycin sulfate works by binding to DNA and causing single and double strand breaks through an oxygen-radical-dependent mechanism, leading to cell death.
