Product Description

Pirarubicin is an anthracycline antibiotic and antineoplastic agent. It works by inhibiting DNA replication and repair, as well as RNA and protein synthesis. Specifically, it intercalates into DNA and interacts with topoisomerase II. While an analogue of doxorubicin, pirarubicin is considered less cardiotoxic and has shown activity against some doxorubicin-resistant cell lines.
